“ Frequently Asked Questions ”

- Why a brick fundraiser? Engraved brick pavers provide permanent individual donor recognition that will be personally viewed by hundreds of visitors over the years. Brick walkways will greatly enhance the appearance of your property.

- We already have concrete sidewalks. How can we participate? Unattractive concrete sidewalks can be easily removed at a very reasonable cost. They can be replaced with beautiful classic clay brick walkways.

- How can our small church membership sell all those bricks? We anticipate that 85% of your sales will be on the internet. AHF will advertise for you on our web site. The link of your parish web site to ours will be your connection for your donation orders online.

- How long should we run our fundraiser? We recommend running your fundraiser indefinitely. Sales actually increase after the initial installation of the brick walkway.

- Do we have to sell all the bricks before we can start construction of the walkway? No, you decide when you want to start construction of the walkways. Most churches make the initial installation as soon as it is economically feasible. Blank bricks are placed in the initial installation and eventually replaced with the engraved brick as they are purchased.

- Should we establish inscription standards? Inscription standards are highly recommended, AHF has suggested standards that you may use. grant application in pdf format Inscription Standards (.pdf format) grant application in doc format Inscription Standards (.doc format)

- How long does it take to get started? AHF can get your fundraiser up and running on the internet in 3 - 5 business days.

- Who installs the bricks? Guidelines can be provided for those churches who have members that have experience with brick installations. Your organization may also elect to hire a landscape contractor to do the work.

- What are other alternatives to a brick walkway? Engraved bricks can be used in a variety of environments, including: gardens, patios, ponds, walkway border trim, and walls. AHF will be happy to suggest an environment suitable for your project.
